Anybody who can't handle a couple minutes of advertising in the course of a three-plus hour free show should leave now.

I'm listening now...cracking up cause I'm a game artist for IGT, the company who makes the Hangover slot machine...

The advertising made me happy cause hopefully that means the Best show won't be going away again any time soon....

i hardly even noticed the 1st 'commercial'. it's not that bad at all. plus remind yourself that it means tom and co and getting paid. it will take a whole lot of 30 second ads to negate the countless hours of FREE show we already have been given.

and I agree that every show this year has been great. keep up the excellent work!

- Gregg vs. Tim... Very reminiscent of previous calls by Tim & Eric, although Gregg's deadpan optimism was sooo dry and amazing.  I expected him to be funny, and his ability to not flinch at all throughout the whole call was even funnier than expected. It probably helps if you've been following Gregg Turkington's various outlets.

Agree 100%. Having been a fan of Turkington/Hamburger/Amarillo, I fully appreciated the expertly deliberate normalcy of that entire segment.

seriously, it didn't even occur to me that it was an ad until i read it here. that's fuckin skill if you ask me. i prefer that to shit like comedy bang bang were it feels like they interrupt the show every 15 minutes to do a fucking 3 minute ad break

Ha, when Tim said "I'm going to be watching you like a hawk" it reminded me of the crazy ranting Jim Vanbebber messages he left on the dude from Synapse films answering machine where he said the same thing:

I agree with this 100%. If a couple of episodes were just advertising, I'd almost feel required to listen to them based on this premise.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Best:
Spike
Tim Heidecker's water rights rant

Looking forward to the half hour of power.  I just don't want too many weasels getting through.  If those goofs from Mit Hamine call, I hope Tom goes ham on them.

The whole Heidecker/Turkington dynamic is a handful atm and Tom did a tremendous job at reigning in both of those powerful egos and getting some good show out of it.  Kudes!

Agreed. Case in point: the "You guys have bought worse albums for less noble reasons" line killed me.

it's private and you have to be approved to follow him. If you think you can do that than you can probably figure out which instagram is his, but he clearly wants it private so i won't link to it.

"Have you called before?"

"Uh, I have."

"And how did those calls go?"

"...I think they went really well."

I think he's my favorite caller. Is he the guy who called a couple of weeks ago to talk about locking eyes in traffic?

Wasn't Tom just blowing smoke? I follow him on twitter...if you are into soaps and John Wesley Shipp, it's amazing.

By the way, I picture Spike-Shipp-Scharpling strutting onto the casino floor in Monte Carlo when I need a chuckle
