Best Show imitates my life yet again:  Was listening to the Fall all day at work yesterday (well for a few hours anyway), so when Philly Boy Roy had the whole thing on the Fall I was dying (and tripping out!). His Mark E Smith telephone voice was so damn funny...

I was too! just got the new Wise Old Man EP.

I was crying at Roy's impression of Mark on the phone. I know a bunch of dudes I need to play that clip for.

I hope Tom will continue that topic for another week in spite of all the crummy callers who did nothing with such a great topic.

The last call from Caroline with the alternate reality "what if there was no Hindenburg crash".  I  thought.. would there have been a band called Led Zeppelin?   as in "That will go over like a lead zeppelin"

Tom's effortless singing of "The Gift" with himself in the blimp was amazing. Something no one else could do.

Did anyone else think that the caller from Richmond was the guy from Mit Hamine's mom?

The basketball duo for the list this week should have been Dumars/Thomas or Laimbeer/Rodman

I'm way too much of a coward to call in and I thought of it after the fact, but, one of the greatest duos, is (are?) the two kids on the bikes at the end of No Country For Old Men. The one kid gives Mr. Haircut his shirt and gets the money and the other kid just talks about Mr. Haircut's broken arm. "Look at that f'ing bone."

Laimbeer/Mahorn

Side Note: Bill Laimbeer owned a CORRUGATED CARDBOARD company with locations in Melvindale, Flint, and elsewhere in Michigan during the 1990s which eventually folded about 15 years ago.

Side Side Note: There was a Simpsons gag where they referenced cardboard boxes manufactured in Flint.

Side Side Side Note: Laimbeer played a sleestak when he was in high school
