Did anyone else notice that Tom and the callers seemed to be in a real hurry for the last half of last week's podcast?
I actually like anything that allows me to listen more efficiently, so I ain't complaining.

I enjoyed the HHOP this week with Martin. Mike is the only one that could go from discussing Swedish erotica one minute to then talking about Swedish detective fiction the next.
Though I have wondered before why Sweden seems to have the image in the US mind as a land of open sexuality. I know when porn was becoming more mainstream in the 1970s there were a handful of Swedish films that made it to the US, and there was I Am Curious: Yellow. The movie that Travis Bickle takes Candice Bergen to see in Taxi Driver was supposedly from Sweden, right? And as a kid I remember there being the supposed Swedish Bikini Team. But you never hear of sex being associated with Finland or Norway in the American imagination.
