A vote for AP Mike is a vote for the life of Tom.  What's more important?

Touche.  Mike's refusal to murder Tom is worth considering, but banning Little Mikey Halversom from Little League will likely lead to the entire town being flooded with chocolate.

Philly Boy Roy and his army of Philadelphians will be the saviors of Newbridge, should those chocolateering Halversoms decide to get out of line, and especially if Tor wins the election. 

Let's face it, after the week the Phillies have been having, they're going to have a lot of aggression to let out.  If PBR can just get them to bottle it up for now, it just might be Newbridge's only hope.  Roy will either utilize it as mayor to protect the town.  Or, if he doesn't make it into office, and Tor does kill Tom, the people of Newbridge may need to seek outside help. 

It's sort of like when the Centaurs showed up in the battle for Hogwarts.

And keeping his kid out of softball?  I think AP Mike had the old story about Al Capone in mind--the one where Capone invites all his cohorts over for a nice dinner where he reveals that he knows someone's been leaking information, then after his speech centered around a pleasant baseball analogy about teamwork and fair play and a baseball bat as a visual prop he calmly murdered the suspected offender with the baseball bat right in front of everyone. 
AP Mike keeping bats out of the hands of mobsters' children can be nothing but positive.

This is a specious argument, Omar. There is no doubt in my mind that Little Mikey is going to set off that bomb one day and that people are going to die. Not only will people die a horrible death, in all likelihood such a catastrophe will also bring about the abrupt end to the Newbridge Little League (the baseball field over the old munitions dump being the only field in Newbridge). Do you really want to deprive the children of Newbridge the right to be humiliated on a regular basis by the abysmal behavior of their parents during their games?

As for this threatend "chocolate flood," I say, "More hogwash!"

and don't buy into his whole "i'm the only one who didn't promise to kill tom" or "vote for me and tom lives" scam. first of all, politicians rarely live up to their promises - so i wouldn't worry much about any of the others following through with their murderous plans. second, do we really want to turn the reigns of an already troubled burg to some town drunkard sportin' a zune? he's got "loose cannon" written all over him - and probably literally as well since he's had an extra week to get more ink. last, mike insinuating that "vote for me and tom lives" is reminiscent of cheney back in '04 telling us to vote republican or expect to be attacked again. a cheap tactic from a cheap drunk.

While all of these are valid points, let us not forget that this town cannot get a decent pit going.

I think that as Mike is the only candidate willing to stand up to Tor, might lead to some rather exciting dramatics, assassination attempts, threats, recrimination.

Living in the metro Chicago area for a long time, I see politics as 50% sport 50% entertainment.
