It's also right down Nassau Street from Thomas Sweet's Ice Cream.  It's no Sedutto, but it's good!

After 6 years, I still have not been to the Thomas Sweet's in New Brunswick.  I'm not sure exactly why.

Now THAT I've done, but only like three times in six years, and one of those times it was to get a buttered roll or something like that.  I once had to get a coat dry cleaned because of a grease stain that happened through the sandwich wrapper and a paper bag.

I remember going to Hoagie Haven many times during the summer of 1989 (I think), when I was working in Princeton for the summer. I'm happy to see that establishment is still around. I enjoyed it thoroughly but would have serious qualms about going there now. Probably not the most heart-healthy place, but the pizza cheesesteaks I ate there 19 years ago were yummy. Those days are over.

There are a couple of places called that in Manhattan now, too. No idea if it's the same ownership. They also have chi-chi pretentions, at least, and tasty but kinda overpriced sammiches. I've been there once, and left feeling a bit hungry and unloved, so I haven't been back, as tasty as my sandwich was. Most of the time, I'm happy to go to delis, diners, and other places where I don't have to pay top dollar for tasty sandwiches.
