Happy Halloween, FOTs!
« on: October 31, 2008, 12:57:59 PM »
Today is my favorite of all holidays and I'm starting this doomed thread to wish you guys a happy one!

Also, if you/your kids/family/friends dress up tonight, maybe it would be fun to post pictures here?

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I am dressed as a Slovenian.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

I will be lurking in my living room, hoping no one knocks on my door, a wish that is likely to come true (no little blackmailers have made it here in years).  But have a grand time, Beth.

I am dressed as a Slovenian.

Jason Ğrotě.

some of my costume ideas this year were:

marty mcfly (the puffy vest/checked shirt/etc turn out to be really hard to get, and it's been done before)

mork (because I have rainbow suspenders and blue pants, but I don't have the chest hair or tight striped shirt)

talk in "deaf" voice (offensive)

michael dukakis

But instead I am going to wear my venetian mask:

A friend of mine wants to go all out and do a commedia dell'arte character.  Then we thought he could do Dante and his ladyfriend Beatrice.  This then switched to Dante and Bea Arthur, and then Dante from Clerks and Bea Arthur.

I did my favorite costume ever like 2 years ago.  I have these tiny wooden horns and I was able to wear them in a way that my poofy hair covered the leather strap and most of the horns.  As a result a few people didn't notice I was wearing them for quite a while and then it was a shock.  Like, "hey, you're Satan."  "Yep."

What on earth is negative about little kids in costumes?

Happy Halloween, you guys.

My friends and I are going as the Addams Family and I'm going to be Pugsley... but apparently the 80's comeback is over because I looked all over for a black and white striped shirt and couldn't find one other than for around 30 bucks online. But, my wife found one with much smaller stripes and it's a little (or maybe a lot) too small so I think I'll say I'm Sexy Pugsley Addams.

Once when I was a kid I was Wednesday from the Addams family but everyone thought I was Anne of Green Gables when they saw the braids. LAME.

One of my favourite things about halloween in high school is how people forget that it's halloween and then come up with costume-y things on the fly. There was a kid walking around the halls today in his normal clothes with a sign that said "NUDIST ON STRIKE."

My better half has a major case of the chicken pox now. That's one hell of a Halloween getup in itself, let me tell you. Fortunately, no one will see.
