Tom deserves some sort of award for revealing that he ate an entire cheesecake in his car after 9/11.

I like Tom's account of the Papa Roach basketball event for best story.
Yes. Definitely. Perfectly captured the weirdness, sadness and absurdity of such an event.

The Casino fight story was great, too.

I'll nominate the "searching for a Beatles bootleg" story.  From a Meadowlands fair to the sketchy flea markets near Englishtown, dragging a tired Ms. Barberie to one more stop.  Great stuff.  I also remember laughing real hard about the wild kid eating at Panera bread (wearing Yankee clothes I think) who was giving Tom the eye.

His stories are great -- when they come. I think he's smart and has great judgment  in not trying to make every everyday occurrence into fodder for TBSOWFMU.

Englishtown flea market was hands down my favorite: "I saw a guy with two heads" Hi-larious.

Samir should get a Golden Glove award. Somehow I think that says it.

It's going to be tough acknowledging Fredricks. He's certainly somewhere near the top of his trajectory right now. Maybe just consider him for '09?

They even gonna do awards this year?  I hope so. I loved that episode. And I've come around on ROTY.
Julie is to ROTY as Heath Ledger is to Best Supporting Actor.

I'm sure Julie will hate being compared to someone whose death bored her so.

essentially, the analogy makes more sense with anna nichole smith instead of heath ledger.

There was an Anna Nicole Smith nudie thing on showtime the other nite.  I mean, that's just creepy right? As soon as I finished, I just turned it right off.   Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat ???

Yah, thank God nobody watches their old Shauna Grant VHS tapes anymore, that would be disrespectful of the great work she did as a living porn star.

Since when do people lust only after the living?

(No, this is not an oblique way of confessing necrophiliac tendencies.)

Agreed, that was a very direct confession obviously.

Wow, this thread went down a dark alley.  Anybody want to tell about the time they knifed a hobo for fun?

I think the mayubernatorial debate show has to get some recognition. To keep so many candidates in character line for that long was a heck of a performance.

FWIW, Hugman's 1000 fights story was absolutely brilliant. If Marky Ramone told it, even John would have to laugh. And he would! But that would just make him madder.
