keyboards (as in digital pianos)

I'm planning on starting back with the piano.  I have an upright from 1916 that I was going to have repaired, but I think it's past the point of no return (I still like the way it looks, so I'm keeping it around)

rather than having 2 pianos, I think I'm going to get a keyboard.  I need 88 keys and touch sensitivity, but don't really care about a bank of instrument types, recording, pitch shifting or all those other bells and whistles.  I wouldn't mind having them, I just don't need them.  I'd also rather have a nice keyboard that I could stash reasonably easy if I needed to put it away for a while, rather than a Clavinova (and I don't want to spend enough to get a clavinova)

Anyone here have any suggestions of where to start looking or what brands/models to avoid?

depends on what yer lookin for.  digital pianos dont sound good, and probably never will.  however, if you want something that replicates an organ, rhodes, wurlitzer, and etc, check out the nord electro.

this is true.  ive never had the money for organs, a rhodes, etc. but ive had my share of $100 keyboards and a nord.  ive liked them all, but it really depends on what im doing.

i started off with the $100 keyboards so i could mess around before deciding i was really serious about learning more and taking it further.  its a small investment that lets you test the waters.
