I saw a news story a month or so ago that said the capacity to experience pleasure diminishes with age.  So enjoy what you can while you can, bucko.

I teach the history of rock and roll at an institution of higher education (probably the equivalent of "yoga" or "basket-weaving" classes in yesteryears)

Screw you for having the best job ever!

Completely true.  I wish I could say it wasn't but it really is.  If I could test drink coffee for Illy coffee company in Italy, or work at Touch and Go records, maybe I'd trade.

But even then, I'm not so sure.

I made them watch "We Jam Econo" last week, too.

TAKE THAT, KIDS.
Well it's been a long time since I've had my favorite drink

Such a great documentary with many, many great songs.

Unlike this song, which goes into the hopper of WORST OF ALL TIME:

"JACK AND DIANE" by Johnny Cougar.

Fuck. This.  Song.
Well it's been a long time since I've had my favorite drink

This one wouldn't be nearly as bad as it is without the music video but it's still pretty awful:

Brokencyde gets my vote though. It's really the worst music ever made.

J&D is an amazing song! It's got 10,000 hooks and JC is not wrong when he says oh yeah life goes on long after the thrill of living is gone. So true! Diane says baby you ain't missing a thing, oh yeah.

This thread is giving me tons of new favorite songs. That Reynolds Girls song is so good! Keep 'em coming!

Did anyone even watch the Jacko video?  It makes his commercials look like Shakespeare.

Leave Jacko out of this.  That man's a hero!

Do you think he and Paul Hogan were the best of friends or the worst of enemies?
