Is it a regional thing?  I bought some last year from someone in my neighborhood and they were Samoas and then my cousin who lives in DC sent me some and they were carmel delites.

Either way, they're my favorite.

Tagalongs are the best, but you get at least three Thin Mints for every Tagalong, so every year I find myself doing a cost/benefit analysis while impatient Girl Scouts roll their eyes at me.

We can elect a black man president but we can't get more than four tagalongs in a box?  Get your head out of your ass, Girl Scouts.

I've never eaten a Samoa because I've always been afraid it would taste like the guitarist of The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black.

Samoa wins. You can get some kind of imitation of every other cookie they make year round, but there is nothing NOTHING like a Samoa.

I bought 3 cases of them off craigslist from some lady in like Iowa or something last year because I never saw any girl scouts to buy them from. So far this year, 3 different people have bought me boxes, and again, I still haven't seen any actual girl scouts anywhere to buy them myself. Kids these days.

I had this problem the last few years but a girl scout aged kid moved in across the street a months ago so I'm hoping that changes.

Trust me, there is no good way to post an ad on craigslist for girl scout cookies either, I highly UNrecommend it.
