Yet you look forlorn.

If there were audio to accompany that photo, I'm almost certain Wise Up would be playing somewhere in the background.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

It makes me think there is an even more amazing lighted structure that we can't see in the picture...and you seemed unimpressed by it.

I think I'm just more dull in contrast with all the shiny stuff.

Got to say, at the risk of offending one or both of you, you remind me a little of Samir here, Reaganomixxx.  I think it's the focus and the determined set of the mouth.

Plus you're both scrawny, of course.

I'll take it. That's not an unattractive man.

Yeah, I thought neither one of you would mind, but I figured I'd be careful and acknowledge the possibility.

Julie, who was menacing you when that picture was taken?

I had to pose with a clown nose for my friend, and then Richard started making a big deal about getting some photos of me without a clown nose.

I felt like I feel when my mother used to tell everyone what a wonderful voice I had and how, when I was practicing for the 6th grade talent show, she thought I was listening to a tape because she had no idea what a great singer I was. And how I sang a song at a contest in eigth grade and I got the highest mark, never remembering that the judge said she was giving me the benefit of the doubt because I was shy that I could barely squeak out anything. My mother would go on and on and on about this stuff in front of people who knew as well as I knew just what I sounded like. I used to make the same face about that stuff, too.

Also, I was exhausted from working all week. And depressed from the pressure of life.
