Music That Makes You Feel

What music for you has the same effect as the theme from Benny Hill does for many: it seems to make all that happens behind it funny. Or, to put it another way, it's hard to take seriously whatever it is that this music is the score for.

For me, Eric Satie's Gymnopédie No.1 is certainly such a piece. It seems overly serious to me and, as a result, pushes things to absurd levels of seriousness.


(I had no idea ducks were in the background of that video. That music made the ducks funny!)

I am also curious about songs that make you cry, feel anxiety, and other emotions.

I love the Peter Gabriel song "The Rhythm of the Heat," but movie previews overused the drum portion (starts at ~3 minutes 40 seconds) for quite a few years in the 90's and it bothered me. It began to backfire and make me roll my eyes.

As for a song that moves me...."Wicked Little Town" makes me emotional every time.
