I do eat vegetables in addition to meat, so I can see how there are good options out there that won't make me want to take hunks out of a cow with my bare mouth, but I still kind of fear losing meat entirely. I think cutting down instead of cutting out is a better plan for me right now, with increased respect for rabbit food beyond it being the afterthought of a porkchop.
I don't drink alcohol more than once a month tops, so that certainly isn't a problem. I also don't think I like what you are trying to imply about me with that advice. As much as I like the sound of fake meat products to help get me through, I am trying not to use crutches or anything but common sense to get this done. I've always favored flavor over content, texture over nutrients, so I'm trying to grow up and get over that. If I kept eating corn dogs all day, even if made from soy, I feel that might defeat the purpose. Better to just have a little chicken breast and call it a day. Still, the roadwork is being laid towards eating in a way I can morally justify. I know that deep down under all these lamb gyros there is a part of me so fundamentally horrified by eating living beings that I cannot keep up this dance of ignorance and deliciousness forever. Your input is definitely helpful towards that end!
So, now that I've derailed this thread and the thought is in my head, I want to ask you all, are other FOT's besides me and BaronVonTito trying to lose weight right now? If so, we should do a FOT fit club! Seeing as this is an internet place with mostly Americans in it, you cannot
possibly tell me I'm the only one here who looks upon skinny jeans with two completely different senses of disgust. We could motivate each other and make competitions out of it! Imagination is the limit. I think I brought this up a while ago, but not seriously. I'm serious now. If people really were into this, I'd be happy to learn how to set some kind of program up, or just help coordinate it with others who would be more apt at it.
