Well, they are innards from some beasts, Julie.  Just not my own.  If they were, why would I need them delivered?  And how could such deliveries occur on a regular basis?  I mean, just how many organs do my animals have?  Or perhaps I'm constantly adopting new ones to get a supply of organs going for the next batch?  But the organs of two dogs and two cats wouldn't provide even a week's worth of food for two other dogs and two other cats.  I'd have to get a new batch out and in every four or five days.  Too much work.

$5/dozen for eggs?  Good heavens.  I am getting a good deal.  And I pay $3.75/pound for chicken (well, that's the price when you order five at a go).  Guess my local farmers aren't gouging me as much as they could be.

Make sure neither of you are at risk for heart disease or high cholesterol.

Atkin's is a foolish diet.  Unhealthy and unsustainable.  Plus the dramatic weight loss it causes is an illusion:  as soon as you start eating carbohydrates again, the pounds pile back on.  Oh, some people transition to something sensible and keep most of the weight off, but if you can do that you're better off losing the weight on the sensible diet, too, rather than risking your health with Atkin's.

Weight watchers! Weight watchers! You eat what you want! Learn how to have balance! Get "rewarded" for exercising!

Thing is, once you cut out carbs, the second you try to eat anything that has higher carb value, you'll put on way more weight and it will fuck up your blood sugar because your body won't know what to do with it. That, and your colon suffers if you don't eat enough veggies or drink enough water.

Actually, we are all genetically predispositioned (don't think that's a word) to effectively metabolize carbs and meat differently and there is no one right diet that's good for all humans.  You have to know your metabolic type (protein, carb, or mixed) to really know what type of diet works best for you.  My wife is certified in testing this for you.  I haven't mentioned it on here because it's expensive and everyone here seems to be broke.

I bet your wife would agree, though, that completely eliminating an entire food group is stupid regardless of one's metabolic type.

The problem, as usual, is that moderation is the answer yet exercising moderation is one of the hardest things in the world for most people.  (I speak as one who is very lousy at it.)

HOW DARE YOU PUT WORDS IN MY WIFE'S MOUTH??!!!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!??!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!

Important to note also that all carbs are not created equal.  i think cutting out white starchy foods entirely is just fine.  in fact, i noticed a dramatic improvement in myself when i religiously quit eating potatoes.  but i'm a protein type.
