4-Square
« on: July 16, 2009, 07:20:56 AM »
Probably the best game in the world.  I'm not part of a league or anything, but love getting together with friends to play this.  We usually play cherrybomb stylee (forceful bounce) rather than teaparty (underhand) - more exciting.  Some of our moves are coffebreak, pizza delivery, doggie doodoo (vroom vroom) and Mr. Sharkie.  Does anyone else play this?  What moves do you have?

Didn't catch Tom's rant about McCaren park's upcoming Cardboard Tube battle, last week, huh?

Or you did, and this is just very clever.  In which case, my move of choice (in second grade) was the classic spike (like in volley ball, only the ball wasn't as high, obviously... I'd still jump for it though just to tic people off).

our definition of tea party 4-square was that you had to play sitting down indian-style...like a tea party.

Would calling it handball make it more manly?  That's pretty much what it is.

I walked right into that one.

Calling it Handball would be incorrect.  Handball is pretty much like racquetball, but without racquets.  Beloved by many.  4-Square is a perfectly good name for this game.

How did we get on this topic?
