I would be amazed if there's a juggalo who knows anything about WFMU in general, let alone Best Show. I'm pretty sure juggalos get all their information from the MTV channels. And I mean ALL of it.
I myself am an F.O.T. and have been a Juggalo since the early to mid 90's and have attended 7 of the 10 Juggalo Gatherings and over 100 Psychopathic Records concerts and events, I also have had custody of my 10 year old daughter Mary-Jain since December 2004....I am a College graduate (University of Miami 1994) and was a productive member of society until I fell at my job as a Kitchen Manager of a sports bar and fractured 1 vertebra and herniated 3 discs in January of 2008....I am all too aware of the reputation of the Juggalo community as a whole but I have also seen the Juggalo community for a long time from the inside and as with any large group of like minded people there is always those that do things as individuals that make the whole group look bad. Now I know that there is a whole lot of Juggalo's who have exhibited deplorable behavior all across the country and I am not trying to defend idiotic behavior but the Gathering really is a "family" environment, not in the kids and grandparents family but more like a million brothers and sisters and cousins and neighbors that you get along with. There were well over 22,000 tickets sold to the 5 day event and probably another 2000-3000 people that didn't pay to get in and there was not one single fight the whole event and that is not something that can be said of most events of that size and scope. This video of the helicopter ride will show just how big of an event that the Gathering really is....
