WFMU IPhone App
« on: August 05, 2009, 04:26:30 PM »
Anybody else download this?  One of the main reasons I was excited to get the iphone was the ability to have the WFMU streamat my fingertips at all times!  This App makes it a little easier than going through the web browser AND it's got an accu-playlist (or however they refer to it) constantly refreshing!  It's a great little thing!  I look forward to updated versions down the line with new bells and whistles!

It's a bit superfluous coming after the Public Radio 2.0 app but still nicely done.

I had no idea about that Public Radio App.  I'm pretty much an App-dummy.

I got it and moved the icon it up to the front page!

Much easier to tune into FMU than the shoutcast app (does anyone recommend a good internet radio app that doesn't drop streams all the time, I mean for non-public stations, which already exists?)

I really enjoy the synth app.  I get to pretend I'm kraftwerk.

Have you played with the theremin app Thereminator?  Stupid name but it's fun.  I use it and pretend I'm Bernard Herrman scoring "The Day the Earth Stood Still".

Ooh, that looks awesome- a lot of the cool apps can't work with my first gen ipod touch. I might actually buy that!

Is that anything like a thermidor?
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

Speaking of music apps, the Brian Eno created "Bloom" is a fun addicting ambient music generator. Sounds great through good headphones and speakers.
Congratulations. You are now a mouse cursor inside a graphics program that the client can control by speaking, emailing and instant messaging.

The new version was released today and it's REALLY good (from what I can tell in the first 5 minutes of playing with it).  On-Demand Archives, too.

Any android users? What's the best way to listen to WFMU on an android device?
