I love Fred Durst
« on: August 24, 2009, 08:03:01 AM »
OK. Now that I've got your attention.

As I am silently morose about not being able to get to the Gathering of the FOT, I briefly wondered how many FOTs there are here in our neck of the woods, Finland??

And no I don't love Fred Durst, he is a munch, it was a cheap ploy to get you to read my pathetic post.

Hope you enjoy the Gathering.  :'(

Well, at this point there are 28 FOTs who read this thing, either none of them are in the Nordic area or are too shy.

Gotta think of a new name for this topic.

I am probably the closest U.S. FOT to Helsinki, but it's still a whole pesky ocean away.

I think there are some in Sweden, but I was hoping for Helsinki.

But in the meantime: "Hi FOT-Neighbor Sarah!"

Sometimes I think I'm the only YLE Radio Suomi listener in Colorado.

I used to love reading Fred Durst's blog on Limp Bizkit's website. It was like he was literally fighting with his keyboard to try and figure out how to make words. When the war in Iraq was getting ramped up he had some pretty classic posts.

(I'm not in Finland, incidentally.)
I'm warning you with peace and love.

I'm sure there are other FOT in Pittsburgh, but I think I'm the only Pittsburgh FOT that posts here.

EDIT: Apparently, there is a Mr. Wolfsheim that is also from Pittsburgh. However, he hasn't been active since 2/3/09.

I'm pretty sure I live in Sweden. YOU probably know it as Ruotsi.

I guess it would be Vitun Ruotsi... ;-) However, I am technically a swedish speaking Finn, so that's not technically an epithet.

I actually grew up in a little town outside of Boston. How I got here, I'll never know.

Aside from Durst's official blog, he kept a personal blog on xanga for a short while... Durst unplugged, if you will... just like that Staind video.  Here's a choice excerpt:

do you get it? do you really get it? some people were just born to get it and others just weren't. the ones that weren't have no idea what i just said and the ones that do understand completely. and so goes life in my mind.

if you had to, what three words would you use to best describe your outlook on the presidential candidates for the united states?
