Anyone catch it on Comedy Central? I loved it I thought he really hit it out of the park with this special. There was one bit about him visiting the 1990 version of him and telling himself about the future where I was on the floor (laughing).
I've always liked Patton Oswalt but started to really pay attention to more of his work after hearing him a lot on the Best Show. I think he keeps getting better and better.
I've been an XL Patton fan for ages; he's how I found this show in the first place. He name checked it in an interview, I think. He's easily one of the smartest guys doing comedy now. Very nimble.
I'm going to have to wait for this on netflix (I think it releases tomorrow-w/the awesome Jack Chick tracts on the cover) but I got the CD off the crazy itunes. I don't know how different the CD is going to be from the DVD performance - I'm guessing there might be slight differences here & there.
The '90s version of himself bit is on the CD - and then in a funny little piece of synchronicity, I was watching Falling Down (approaching 20 years old!) this weekend, and there were guys talking on those massive cell phones that are the size of a paperback book.
