Personally as a huge comics nerd The Bros appeal to me especially for all the references to old comics.

You lost me here.

And not to get too technical, but Aqua Teen and Sealab are kind of Second Generation compared to Space Ghost, Ghost Planet, and Brak show.  The stuff Adult Swim is making now is 4th or 5th generation at the very least.  It's been around a while now.

You did get too technical, because you are incorrect.  Adult Swim was applied to Space Ghost well into its production run - seven years in, in fact.  So you can call it "first generation" if you want - I choose not to, because it predates Adult Swim.  I was a fan of SGCTC well before there was an Adult Swim.

And Aqua Teen Hunger Force premiered in December 2000, before Adult Swim premiered in September 2001 (and only nine days after the Brak Show premiere).  Hard to make a case for ATHF being a "second generation" show.

I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I felt the same way as Buff, only watching ATHF and Sealab.
But my brother recently lent me the first season of the Venture Bros.....loved it.
Go watch a few before Tuesday.

To those interested in checking the show out by more legal means, adultswim.com offers a handful of episodes here: http://www.adultswim.com/shows/venturebros/indexpage.html#video

I suggest '¡Viva los Muertos!' with the dystopian Scooby Doo gang!

To anyone who doesnt "get" The Venture Bro's:

Just please watch the first season and u will become hooked.
And it just gets better and better after that. The show really grows on u!
Anyone who has the patience for the pace of TBSoWFMU will def "get" The Venture Bro is short order.
The writing is so deliciously funny and the jokes go by so quick and clever----u have to pause and replay the DVD so as not miss even 30 seconds of the brilliant writing
coz yr laughing so hard.
There are very few shows that have made me laugh as hard as The Venture Bros (of course TBSoWFMU is on that short list-duh! )

And i'm not even a comic nerd*, so i'm not even getting ALL of the jokes!
Thats how densely packed with The Funny this show is!
Man characters really really grow on u!  I truly am very pumped for this weeks show!

*So Lady FOTS fear not and don't be putoff by the Comic booky refs. There's so much OTHER funny stuff in there!

I follow James Urbaniak on Twitter. He's very funny. Looking forward to hearing him on the show.

The nerdiest call I can think of:

"Hey, James.  I loved you on Law and Order: Criminal Intent, the part where you called that guy a rutting pig was awesome!  When that show comes up on the DVR schedule, they say Andrew McCarthy plays the doctor.  It must have been a last minute substitution, huh?  Well, you really hit it out of the park.  I think you did a way better job than Andrew McCarthy would've."
