Geez, I think this thread may be dude-ier than the KISS thread.

I'd say Hairy Chapter possibly the second album - can't remember which is better, the first or second, and Lord Baltimore.  Both really good hard rock.

No Cheap Trick, huh? Bless your dad's heart. You think an old man doesn't know what your old man would like?

Thanks for all the great suggestions! This might just have to be a multi-volume set. Who knows, the old man has fickle tastes. Like, there was one time during the 90's when he somehow got hold of a Dead Can Dance tape and was listening to that during his daily commute. Never got to the bottom of that one.

The final disc:

1 - Rolling Stones - Can't You Hear Me Knockin'
2 - Ted Nugent - Stranglehold
3 - T. Rex - Mambo Sun
4 - ZZ Top - Just Got Paid
5 - AC/DC  - Shoot to Thrill
6 - Rod Stewart & The Faces - Stay With Me
7 - The Who - The Seeker
8 - Led Zeppelin - When the Levee Breaks
9 - Jimi Hendrix  - Voodoo Child (slight return)
10 - Free - All Right Now
11 - James Gang - Funk #49
12 - Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak
13 - BTO - You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet
14 - Foghat - Slow Ride

Maybe for the next volume. I tried for awhile to find both of those tunes floating around, but came up empty-handed.

I think Vince might has a beef with Cheap Trick, though. One time we were staying at a motel when Cheap Trick was playing Great Adventure (circa '87). Robin Zander came outside to have a smoke, but his little boy was following him out the door. Zander was unaware of the child's presence, and let a glass door close right on the kid behind him, smacking him hard. We were all like "what a jerk!".

The guitar guy was cool, though. took a photo with my brother and signed an autograph.

I love this thread.  I want The Vince Mix Volume One on 180 gram collector's vinyl with all of KTB's posts as the liner notes.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

If you do a second volume, I'd say either Hair of the Dog or Miss Misery by Nazareth should be considered.

Most definitely Hair of the Dog. Don't mess w/ a son of a bitch is something that crosses age and cultural boundaries.

Head East - "Never Been Any Reason"

if you're considering Slade you gotta consider Sweet, "Ballroom Blitz" being the obvious one

You definitely need something by Black Sabbath - my suggestions would be either Hole in the Sky or Supernaut.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

Or "Paranoid" which is my theme song, and which I have stipulated must be played at my funeral.
