This album made me think of how people who live together start to sound alike, use the same expressions, share inside jokes, etc. Unlike "Impersonal", on which I detected only a little bit of Scharplingness, this Freak Wharf feels almost like a "live in the studio" appearance. Paul may owe Tom some scratch, frankly. I'll have to go back through it and make special note of the moments that feel particularly "Best Show-ish", but it's palpable. Wonderful, and palpable.
Palpderful.
Am I wrong?
Anyway... I think it's great. Is it short, though? I was just starting to really get comfortable and giggly when all of a sudden, boom, "that's it for me, folks!".
