I fell asleep during the one where (SPOILER) Claire is holding Jin prisoner in her camp. I should probably continue watching from that point.
Doing it Mentos style.

I think I like it too but it's the first season I'm watching live and it pisses me off whenever the episodes end and I have to wait a week. I never would have stuck with it if I started watching while it was on TV.

See, I was smart and started watching it when it began airing daily on G4.

But that means you have to see Olivia Munn 5 or 6 times per episode.

Not if you recorded it first and quickly hit "fast-forward," you didn't.

I'm pretty sure G4 will just start making all their ads 4 minute still images of Munn so...you may be outta luck soon.

Doesn't matter.  I caught up with the first several seasons on G4, but I started watching on ABC last year.

I win.

My problem with this season so far has been twofold:

1) The writers made the same mistake they made at the beginning of Season Three; they made the (at least on-island versions) characters sit around passively while the Others say tantalizing things and never answer a damn thing. For at least five episodes, our heroes have just been chilling out. That's not great TV.

2) The season is shaping up to be more about this epic battle between Jacob and Smokey and ultimately our heroes seem to be passing by the wayside. These are characters we knew existed only a season ago (caveat: yes, I know Smokey has been on the show since the beginning but as a character he's new). Instead of having the denouement of the show come from the characters, we're getting the story of something completely external that makes our characters merely pawns.

Last week's episode was a step up and since they've left the Temple I hope things pick up more significantly.

My biggest hang-up is how several characters haven't really reclaimed their characters as we've known them to a great extent yet. I feel like i'm watching a completely different show and not in a comfortable way. I'm not the kind of person to need hand-holdinig through television or film but let's face it - 6 seasons into a show, we're not watching it for it's "awesome" writing anymore. We've all found elements and characters and stuff to like and become attached to. And we're just seeing a lot of familiar actors playing new characters, or "important" characters being backseated.

Ben is so far and away my favorite character, so having an episode focused on him was great.

Anybody watch the finale of "Psych?"  What was up with the ending?

By far the best of the season. In my top five of the whole series. Michael Emerson is my favorite too. He gets it.

I'm several episodes behind.  I'll let you know what I think of the ending when I finally get there.  If I remember.
