Finally got one! Thanks Kristina/JustSheaNo! Yes, clowns are quite frightening. My Dad had a delayed midlife crisis and got into "clowning" for a while. Somehow it also had something to do with church. Gives me the shivers.

that is the funniest thing I have heard all week (and it's been a week of funny stuff). thank you.

When my dad pulled a mid-life, he started refinishing furniture and baking. I have seriously never tasted a better apple pie or blueberry muffin than the ones he was making en masse back in '86-'87.

Am glad you liked it. Sorry it was lo-quality, but I was working with what I got.  For the rest of you, it was an amalgam of all the direct mail advertising of clowns/magicians that I got over a two week period, cut out and glued together.

This guy was by far my favorite, if by favorite you understand most terrifying. His button says DABBY DO IT!

So scary. My Dad was "Tommy Twinkletoes" - the best part was that he had a booth at a church fair to pick his clown name, and a 3-year old created that gem...mainly because all of the others were FILTHY.

Yeah, I've totally fell off of the wagon with this. However, I will be sending my art out. Oh, I will.

I'll be sending a few of these out this coming week! Also Canada Post has stopped delivering my mail to my apt. again, because they hate me, so I am going to go pick up all my mail from the past like three weeks on Monday. Maybe I will get some art! Whee!

After a particularly hairy week at work (and I ain't just talking about the naked people getting on and off the elevator) I got an informative booklet with dinosaurs teaching me French-Canadian cursing! Thanks Emma!

Me too! Awesome! Especially appreciated as I've been filming a lot of questionable "art" recently for work. A good reminder that making things is still good.

Received a cryptic set of photos from Trotskie today! Not quite sure of the theme, but the whole set had a Lynchian vibe to them.

Also, can I just say how much I love "matte, with border" photos? a LOT! thanks again, Trot and to all other Extreeemists.

also got a note in there referencing "KTB's rules of photography". Can't recall what stream of bullshit I might have spewed out on the subject in threads past, besides maybe "No Dongs" which I believe to be an early Dogme 95 tenet (later revised to "MORE dongs", iirc)

Is it too late to get in on this art action?
