Doug Benson's I Love Movies podcast is one of the toppest podcasts out there, now even more so because of the extra Scharpling!

Has it been mentioned yet? Sorry if so.

Listened to it this morning, good stuff all around. Everyone in good form. I've been enjoying Doug's I Love Movies since his contributions to Mr.Show(Bob and David's?!) website. However, with some episodes of I Love Movies, it can be a little tough to take when you put all those comedians in one place and they all try to out funny each other(I guess that's the whole point). Still, I love it and always look forward to new episodes. I also really liked Comedy and Everything After with Paul and Tom. Somebody on this board mentioned that podcast way back when. Looking forward to part two. I like hearing Tom outside the context of TBS, he's an enlightened and genuinely funny human being.

It was a great ILM episode. Speaking of Doug Benson:

1. Saw him last week in Eugene and he was incredibly funny. He has a quick wit that always catches me by surprise. IMO, people who dismiss him for being the "pot" comedian are missing out. (Graham Elwood was also hilarious.)

2. I think Doug would be a great Best Show guest just for the amazing set up it would be for a Brice call.

I loved hearing Tom but on this day, PFT was the MVP; his Wonder Showzen line alone may have pushed him to the top for me.

I felt kind of bad hearing about Tom having his spirit crushed by the Hollywood 'development' machine, though.

'Ruggles Of Red Gap'? How does Paul F. Tompkins know these things?

It's a little thing called knowing your film history. "Ruggles of Red Gap" is a classic screwball comedy, directed by the mighty Leo McCarey.

Tom's L.A. podcastravaganza was rad.  And I like how he kept it "soft G" even when the host/guests went blue. 

Though, you could hear him chuckling at some of the dirty bits.  HE'S ONLY HUMAN!
