The Killer's album? I don't know. They're both poppy as all hell, which is great, but Arcade Fire grabs me in a way the Killers never will--- I feel like it's more...organic?? (don't hate me for using that word). The Killers have some fun radio singles, but I never really want to play their albums over and over like I do with Arcade Fire.

I'm really not crazy about the first song on Neon Bible...which kind of sucks, because for me a good first song is crucial. But the rest of the album is steller...especially the song "Intervention".

They've got kind of a Bruce Springsteen thing going on this album as well, which is just great. I saw them at Randall's island last month...and they were one of the best live bands I've ever seen...dare I say the best?

I didn't like Neon Bible, but I didn't give it more than 3 listens.

I do, on the other hand like Sam's Town

both of these statements are probably appropriate to announce in this thread.
Breakfast- I'm havin' a time
Wheelies- I'm havin' a time
Headlocks- I'm havin' a time
Drunk Tank- not so much a time
George St.- I'm havin' a time
Brenda- I'm havin' a time
Bingo- I'm havin' a time
House Arrest- I'm still havin' a time

I didn't like it at all at first, probably because i thought they couldn't top funeral. it took about 10 listens before it hooked me, but once it did, i loved it.

Tom Waits, Crispin Glover, Al Green and John from Cincinnati. I also like the Afghan Whigs. I even like the Twilight Singers.

I have been touting Crispin Glover as the next James Bond for years. Batman, too.

Crispin Glover would actually make a great Riddler.

Gotta say... the Killers' cover of 'Shadowplay' is pretty damn good. I like Joy Division and all, but I can appreciate a good reworking. I kind of feel like this deserves an apology, if only to annoying purists.

Did Tom ever really bash Deadwood; mostly he just complained about how it was warping his nephew while they were waiting for it to turn into a "good olde timme family friendly western".

The mustachios couldn't have helped.

If liking Deadwood is wrong, I don't want to be right.

I also like blues music.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

being home sick from work today with a swollen throat and a low fever, I set aside what pride I have and went to the store, the gas station, and the phamacy in my pj's.

I'd like to say I was the only person in the store wearing such a thing, but I saw at least 3 other people sporting huge plaid flannel pants.

Erika, I believe that mode of dress is acceptable as long as you have a sweatpants license.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

Erika, I believe that mode of dress is acceptable as long as you are a supercaller. At least I hope so.
