To put it into terms that would narrow down the audience to just Sarah and me, the Walking Dead zombies appear to come equipped with Lurching Gait, Scent Blood, Flailing Gesture, Feeding Groan and Neck Lurch. At least two of them in the pilot seem to have upgraded to have Memories of Life, as well.

Ha!  Ever visit Lerwill Heights?

Did any of you watch Dead Set?  I thought it was great fun.  Haven't been made so tense by a zombie show for ages.

I enjoyed it. The stuff that wasn't in the comics was actually pretty cool and added to the story and character developement.
You look like a really healthy Arthy Lang.

I know nothing about this comic book series, I stumbled onto a fan made show open for the new live action series. He used the comic book artwork for the visuals. I thought it was extremely well done. I have no idea how to embed vimeo on this board, here is the link.

I liked it! Sometimes when I watch Mad Men, there will be such a perfectly framed shot that I want a still photograph of that moment to hang on my wall. I think the most recent one was Betty lying on her daughter's bed while her kids are off in Disneyland with Don.

There were a lot of those shots in this episode.

And Jesus, Bicycle Girl was terribly depressing.  :'(

Very cool pilot episode.  It felt original too, which is remarkable considering that zombies have been done to death.

Thanks for clueing me into the show.  Liked the first episode a lot.  Some broad strokes on the characters in the 2nd episode but the suspense was well done.

I hope they using Teddy's "Whole lot of walking to do" over the closing credits at some point.

Agreed. I'm still on board though.

The scene with the key? Come on.

Not to mention the painful predictability of handcuffed racist's return (I'm betting minus one hand).

Yeah, the spilling tool bag shot was a bit heavyhanded. Presumably the hacksaw fell somewhere he could reach it.

I will always be suckered in by well-filmed shots of someone riding into a city on horseback, carrying a bunch of guns, facing hordes of enemies with abandoned tanks and machine gun nests around them.

That actually bugged me.  This is a pretty sharp cop, abandoned cars are everywhere, and he chooses to ride a fucking horse into zombietown?! He knows they can't open doors.

He did look quite majestic in the saddle though.

Not car doors, anyway.

I think there was an issue with a lack of gasoline. Remember the first scene in the first episode?
