I think we can all agree that Ricky Gervais was damn funny last night.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not... I am a pretty big fan but I thought a lot of his material was fairly hacky.

EDIT: Maybe hacky isn't the right word. I can appreciate what he was trying for but it seemed like relatively few of the jokes really landed.

I do hate it when my amazing Personal Assistant has to take time out from condensing my spa schedule to got to the fish monger. You'd think they wouldn't mind taking time off from all the monging for a while and make a delivery- but no!

I wasn't being sarcastic. I genuinely like Ricky Gervais a lot. And while I do think some of it last night was hacky, the fact that he was saying it to their faces made it funnier, no? I mean people are decrying it like it was the most insensitive thing but it wasn't any worse than what Jay Leno says in a monologue.
