Well thank god for good old-fashioned indies like Larry Crowne (in theaters this weekend!)

Just when you thought American indie trailers couldn't get any more nauseatingly twee, Miranda July returns and out-twees them all within seconds.

The Future - Trailer

I really disliked her previous movie. This doesn't look any better.

Watched two of those trailers and have no idea what either of the movies could be about.  Is that thing a talking cat?

As for twee, until "Belle and Sebastian: The Movie" comes out, they will all fall short.

I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I sincerely think it looks absolutely fantastic. Her previous film was one of my favorites of the last 5 - 6 years. I have seen it at least 4 times.

I love the diversity in this forum. A handful of people will say they hate something then someone comes in with praise almost as if the previous posters loved it.

Don't hold your breath waiting for the Larry Crowne love, young fella.

I'll go on the record as saying that I loved Miranda July's first film. Only seen it once though. And the trailer for her new one didn't do much for me, though I didn't hate it.

I like it a lot as well (I also enjoyed her short story collection). It was my first exposure to the great John Hawkes.

This may be a good show (one can always hope), but why on earth are they calling it Prime Suspect?  Take one of the most iconic performances in the history of television by one of the Grand Dames of British Film and recreate it using Maria Bello in a funny hat?

This looks more like a recreation of Baretta.

A TV show but...:  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1981538/

I can't wait for its first, and probably only, season.

Whoa, that's the first trailer I've seen from Drive, other than that short, 2 minute clip of the robbery. Besides Drive, I'm hoping Melancholia shapes up to be the feel bad movie of the year, the trailer looks promising.

Just heard that there's going to be a remake of The Evil Dead, and that Diablo Cody is working on the script.

It won't be out in 2011, but I heard about it in 2011.

I am assuredly not looking forward to it.

The only thing worse than a bunch of wieners incessantly quoting Army of Darkness (maybe the Monty Python and the Holy Grail of horror movies, in terms of irritating fandom) would be the same bunch of wieners incessantly quoting fake-o Diablo Cody slang from some new Evil Dead.

Why is that Drive trailer rated R?
