That is amazing. I somehow missed it earlier. We had a guy who's done some of these launches stop by our hackerspace (BloomingLabs) to talk about them and see if we were keen to do one ourselves (we are). Apparently they are able to fetch the balloons more often than not. Occasionally they get stuck out of reach in a tree or just get lost (having no ocean near us helps).

Found this thanks to twitterer @trumpetcake (whose twitpics always crack me up). A video for Kim Mitchell's "Go For a Soda", easily the most 80s/Canadian thing ever. Whoever posted it was much more impressed by the bass stylings of Bob Wilson.

i know tom is a big fan of alan partridge, this is the new show from the genius of steve coogan and rob brydon, "the trip" currently on the bbc, dunno if it's on in america, but it's absolutely hilarious... here's a little highlight featuring some rather good impressions in a fancy restaurant...

I just watched so many of these. Definitely a favorite. I love how some of these bits are in lieu of entire dumb monologues too. Dino Stamatopolous is the best.

I would have to argue that's 100% success.

In the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday, please enjoy this clip of Phyllis Diller as Mother Goose, possibly drunk and definitely behind in her delivery. You can literally see a frantic producer running after her on her float to get her to start. The video quality is definitely not great, but I think the historic nature of the footage takes precedence.

This is exciting:

Кошачий триллер (cat's horror)
That one crow kept tormenting the gray and white cat.

It appears the black cat had the home-field advantage; things played out as expected.

are they crows or pigeons, though? They aren't all black.

That fight is full of tension and suspense. I'm just sorry you can't get the close-ups on the cats' faces.
