To explain that last clip, here's what a Kiwi on Reddit says about "National Hoodie Day":
A government department with way too much time on their hands (Ministry of Youth Development), decides to try and break down the notion that hoodies are worn by vandalising youths and that everybody should 'embrace' the hoodie.
So they create National Hoodie Day on a budget of about $30k and get some MPs to wear hoodies.
Completely pointless, complete waste of time and money and I doubt it will happen next year.
But its an example of just how mad the public sector is in NZ.
Other than that, there is so much about this that I find funny:
- "A lot of my friends are coloured," said while wearing a Ku Klux Klan outfit.
- "Mind you -- it's my birthday today, so... ya' know."
- "Its wotz under da hood dat counts"
- Where did that fire come from?
As others have pointed out, it's like a surreal Monty Python skit.
