I don't know what to make of this show. It's so weird, not because of its content, but because it has this soap opera sensibility to it. It also feels like one of those syndicated adventure shows from the 90's that used to come on in the afternoons, like Xena or Hercules.

I've only watched a few minutes so far (not sure I'll go back for more), but I noticed right off the bat that it's filmed in such a way that it looks like a soap opera or a sitcom of yore. I always attributed the difference between the look of a soap and that of a film or primetime drama to the use of videotape over film, but that can't be the case nowadays, surely?

Whatever the reason, The Cape has the same flat, stage-setty feel of one of Spike's favorite shows.

It was pretty dumb. I set up a series recording on my DVR as soon as it ended.
This may be the year I will disappear.

I love that it embraces 100% of its superhero shenanigans rather than going at it with shame-filled irony.

My cousin is doing accounting for that show.  It's her first time doing accounting and she hates it, I hope the show gets canceled so she has a good motivation to get into something besides accounting.

I just finished watching both episodes.  This show is great.  And how could it not be, with a slight, moist-eyed superhero pitted against a slight, moist-eyed supervillain?

I don't care for the kid, though.  He gives me the willies.  I think he may be a young serial killer.

I'm pretty sure I've seen The Cape's costumes and props show up on ebay already. PLEASE, nobody bid on them. I need a good cape.
