The Banned List
« on: February 08, 2011, 12:44:09 AM »
I don't think this has been a thread on here recently -- let's talk about the poor unfortunates who've had their Best Show privileges revoked.

Feel free to contribute, and I'll do my best to update this first post with the master list, editing in whoever else I've forgotten.

CURRENT BANS:

Larry the Perv - 6 month ban (Starting date?) - For being LDP
Milo
Captain Jack

EXPIRED BANS:

Matt Walsh - Lifetime ban on 2/23/2010 - For cursing - Ban canceled on 2/8/2011
Spike - He has been banned by Tom. However, he always redeems himself. His bans usually don't last very long.
Clark - Banned on 9/11/2007
Ross from Markham, IL - Banned in 2008 - Variety of infractions
Rookie-of-the-Year Eddie
Trembling Eagle

Is Clark still banned?

I'm just going from memory, but I believe it was a two-year ban that began more than two years ago.

Clark's ban started sometime in 2007, so it's over. In fact, I seem to remember Tom mentioning the ban's end on the air.

Wasn't Spike banned at some point? I'm pretty sure he completely ignored the ban, but I think I remember it happening.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I await his triumphant return, along with Woodsy and that guy Wes and I always made fun of.  Eddie.

Spike's been banned a ton of times and he usually pays zero attention to the bans.
Remember how he couldn't stop his leg?

Larry the Perv - 6 month ban (Date?) - Reason?
Milo - Date/length? - Reason?

EXPIRED BANS:

Spike - Date/length? - Reason?
Clark - Date/length? - Reason?

I think Larry was banned for being Larry.  Was Milo banned by Tom?  I thought his dad initiated the ban.

Is that guy from Illinois (was it John?) who also plagued "Man & Wackiman" officially banned?

Larry was being dense and silly one call, and Tom said, "You're a moron and you're banned for (3/4) years." I guess it got shortened to six months.

Also, what was the Milo/Milo's Dad controversy?

Rookie-of-the-year Eddie?  I liked him.  He was unassuming, and the way he delighted Tom was refreshing.

Clark was banned on 9/11 (2007). NEVER FORGET.

I liked Eddie, too, and remember being upset that he might have died in The Cloverfield. I think he made a single call from his new home in Texas and it sounded like the fight had been beaten out of him. He could have been the true protégé. The guy I think buffcoat and I really want to call back is the guy from California, land of exotic culinary dishes like the taco and burrito.

Trembling Eagle was banned, but I remember it being a very short ban that would have been over for some time now, so I do wish TE would call back in again some day.
This may be the year I will disappear.

He could have been the true protégé.

Agreed.  He never seemed to be in it for the glamour.

Texas, you have a lot to answer for.

I believe a boy named Ross from exciting Markham, IL, was evenutally banned in 2008 for a variety of infractions that caused Tom to threaten to impale him on the Colgate Clock.

He once performed an ode to The Best Show:

I don't like The Best Show
The problem is it stinks
Not tryin' to be a douchebag
It's just the way I thinks

I know that I'm complaining
But I can't be the first
Instead of being The Best Show
It should be called The Worst

It couldn't be more boring
It's like a three-hour lull
Ironic that The Scharplings
Produced a child so dull

I know I'm being annoying
I know that you don't care
But the most amazing thing
Is how ... you ... still ... stay ... on ... the aaaaiiiirrrrr

A taco is a hard corn shell, filled with meat and vegetables.

Wasn't he from someplace like "Newark... California"?
