This evening, my dear dog Bandit died.  He was at least fifteen and a half, possibly older (I never could get a clear answer from the various people who had him before I).  He was a big old beautiful mutt, the gentlest and sweetest-natured dog I've ever known.  I got to live with him for fourteen years.  He was my dearest and truest and most constant companion.  I will miss him forever.

Sorry. I've been through this and it's the worst. THE WORST.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

It's very sad.  I'm sorry.  I have no doubt you were the best partner any doggy could have.

Condolences, Sarah. I too have experienced this and it's awful.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

One week today.

Also, I was remiss not to say this earlier: thank you, especially, Big Plastic Head; I know you are grieving, too.

Sorry for your loss, Sarah and for my tardiness. Maybe I really do need to get on Twitter.
