Listened to this yesterday and it was really uncomfortable to sit through. Him wanting to get Tom to go "on the record" about not being at the Sleater-Kinney performance was unbelievably awkward and pointless.

This is how I felt with it. It's like those early JW calls where they would let people call in and join the call, and people would point out it's fake. Don't be a bit-killing dick.

I hope there's not going to be any buffering issues with the first episode, remember during the marathons Tom would have to tell people to listen on their radio if at all possible,  because WFMU couldn't handle all the people that were listening.

The Kreative Kontrol ep with JW from last year (I think) was also totally painful and cringe-inducing.  I think I'm going to pass on listening to his Scharpling interview.

Andrea, who wrote that, used to be the producer on Andy Breckman's show, Prank Patrol. She has her own show on WFMU called "why won't somebody love me?" or something like that. (for real though her show is great).

The Vance one is probably my favorite, actually. It is pretty "epic" as the kids say.

It seems like fate that the show is coming back one day shy of a year since it ended.

I would love it if Tom played some of those same songs from the final WFMU show - All Going Out Together, El Goodo, etc. They made us sad last year, but this year they take on a new context.

You can already start subscribing to it in iTunes, and I think the Libsyn RSS feed link was posted earlier in the thread.

Tom said on a few podcasts that he was working on the music issue, but I assume it's been cleared up since he played a bunch of songs on the Test Show.
