"TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS" Seriously. Ucccch.

I always wondered why no indie band (or any band wanting to make a video on the cheap) never copied this. It looks really cool and would be as cheap to make as you can get. What's the downside?

Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock 'n Roll" would be horrible because you know the guys doing the clobbering would be getting into it, getting pumped up by it, and would start like preening and showing off for each other to it, and for them it would be like delivering a particularly brutal curbstomp was striking a really righteous blow for old time rock 'n' roll against all this new-fangled disco shit. And meantime you'd not only have to hear the song, you would know your asskicking was providing jollies for guys like that.

This version of this song is a nightmare. I'd like Vance to do a critique on it from a prog-rock fan's point of view.

lady buffcoat and I listened to a 90s pop mix on Pandora last night as we straightened up the place. I was ~~surprised~~ gratified, that, as far afield as it went (Tal Bachman! Stretch Princess!), it included not one Crash Test Dummies song in three hours.

Also, Billy Joel's "character" was supposed to be 18 + 25 = 43 in that video. Why did they make him look 65? He looks nuts now, but in some ways he still doesn't look as old as they made him look in that video.

My final suggestion.....the piano bit at the end is more plaintive, I think.
