I listened to Jason G's WFMU Mixed Tapes show last night while stuck at work. Very good stuff. Real trippy and hyponotic. I will be back for more.
Is there a podcast of JG's show?
Thanks, guys. Ken is worried that it's not podsafe because the usual music licensing arrangements don't apply, even though just about everything we've aired so far is podsafe -- either we've gotten it from archives that post everything under a Creative Commons license, or from listeners or friends/colleagues who want it to be distributed. Once in a great while we might have something that would need to be edited out, like Mel does with the songs in the Best Show podcast (like, last week we played Madlib and The Olivia Tremor Control in between the spoken word), but Karinne knows how to do that.
I suppose I could wheedle Ken about it (and still might at some point), but for right now I'm just trying to get better at radio and be a good member of team WFMU and so forth, and plus, given my schedule, putting together a show every week is work enough. If you're willing to go through the steps, there's always
