Hey all,
haven't posted in a while, and feel like a bit of a heel showing up to post again on the "shameless self promotion thread"...but here we are.
My label, Negative Fun Records has its next two releases prepped and available for pre-order now on our Bandcamp page.
NF003 is a split 7" between the band Carton from Windsor, VT and Alpha Cop from Raleigh, NC.
Carton sounds similar to Drive Like Jehu with decent amounts of early Dinosaur Jr influence. Folks into psych/drone stuff might be familiar with the singer/guitarist's other band, Heavy Winged.
Alpha Cop is post-rockish stuff, though it reminds me a lot of early/mid-90s bands like Hoover and The Crown Hate Ruin, maybe a little Rodan sprinkled in there.

This is anthemic, narrative stuff in the vein of The Hold Steady/Mountain Goats. Sean Eden from Luna plays guitar on the B-side. Both of these songs are super catchy. Great songwriting, great lyrics.

Thanks for letting me schill.
