And I will argue to my dying day that show was great because of Rip Torn, despite Jeffrey Tambor, and I am just barely to the good side on Shandling himself.
Dave, I like you. I don't agree with you, but I like you.
Those Nancy Grace flubs seem really staged to me. Why would there be a camera in the control room? If, as I suspect, these flubs were staged so that Nancy Grace could portray herself as the "sane" head of her terrible little operation at the expense of belittling her co-workers, then she's even more despicable than I had suspected. If I could find the clip of her mocking one of her guests, I would have posted it; one of her male guest trips over his words a little, so Nancy mocks him by stuttering accusingly, like he did it just to spite her. Ugh, she gets my ire up. Definitely Hate Pit material.
Aside from Nancy Grace, few people get me angrier than people who think they're funny, but in actuality are anything but. First example, Rob Schneider. How he still has a career is beyond me. It's one thing to be terribly unfunny, but to get defensive when people call you out as being the boob you are (see: Carlos Mencia), that's Hate Pit worthy.
For those who haven't read it yet, here's Roger Ebert's review of
Deuce Bigalow, European Gigolo. Gives you an idea just how full of himself this Schneider character is:

Another thing that peeves me about Rob Schneider is his Elvis worship. Ugh. I couldn't find the clip of him doing his Elvis impersonation on SNL during the G.E. Smith era (don't get me started on
that guy), but here's an equally hateable clip from Conan O'Brien in the mid-90s:

Another guy in my Hate Pit - Greg Gutfeld, the host of "Red Eye" on FOX News. Aside from the fact that he's on FOX News, I don't have a lot of support/evidence for this one, but, come on, look at this guy. He fits the smug, condescending FOX-anchor-type to a tee. I want to punch him in his fat face.

Here's a good clip. "You know what bugs me? People who are blinded by partisan ideology." I think my irony detector just combusted. Also, check out his little "Greg-alogue" graphic in the bottom right of the screen - what, we need to see a flattering picture of him while he's onscreen talking?

Sorry for the length, everybody. Hopefully it was enjoyable in some way.
