Cory had nothing to do with the founding either of the boingboing magazine or the blog.  The book that Mark F. put out in between the zine and the blog, Happy Mutants Handbook, introduced me to a lot of cool stuff (Chris Ware, Luigi Serafini) in the mid-nineties before every last thing was on the internet.  And I do have to thank Cory for pointing me towards today's actual good sci fi, like Ken Macleod.

C'mon now. Yes, the "bald + soulpatch = douche" equation is still true, but don't try to act like when you were younger and naive you didn't think that the "Bobby" voice was funny. He's another case of the "cocaine = funny rot" theory, a la Robin Williams.

But yes, he deserves HatePittance. Maybe he could run the game shows down there.
