Serious answer:  Larry the Perv doesn't even know where Newbridge is.  You can make a slight case for Scag Winesack being in there, because he did pal around with the Gorch, and even Roger Tamblyn, since he called in during an early JW call, but the Andy Earles stuff deserves (?) its own listing, probably.


Even more serious answer:  I can't stand Larry the Perv.  I might be willing to do a Spike OrangeCrate-ictionary though.

"best caller" is relative.  i LOVED ross; when someone gets that angry, you have to laugh...because thats all there is to do.  i was cracking up. 

audacious REAL callers are great.  but i also like julie's call, steve from N.H. first TWO calls (drillbit taylor call made me nervous...i knew that call was getting gomp'd, it was a matter of when), i always enjoy calls from:

Guys, we need to stop this madness.
The awards show was great, but ever since the calls have been self-conscious in a bad way. People angling for awards, etc. No good.

i can't speak for anyone else, but the fear of being accused of being another steve from north hollywood is why i was paranoid about calling. i didn't want to be perceived as angling for rookie of the year when i don't want that, i just want to say hi and that i love the show and maybe contribute to the topic.

anyway, i think that having my first call happen when tom, PBR and PFT were all in studio was actually a mixed blessing because it took the heat off me. i was shaking, i was so nervous! and very relieved that they took over.

I've called a few times.  My first call was actually pretty good - I told an anecdote about an actor friend who was on John From Cincinnati - but my next two were boring, boring, boring.  I'm no Steve from North Hollywood!

Actually it's mostly because of schedule - I've been listening to the archive and the podcast for a couple of months now - but even when that changes, the fact is that I am just not that interesting a caller.  I'm OK with it, I think I'm a decent conversationalist in real life, and obviously I'm pretty comfortable expressing myself by typing, but even in real life my phone calls are lame. I may call again someday if I can come up with an interesting response to a topic, but ya know.

I'm pretty much in the same situation, though part of it also involves me drawing an inexplicable blank at something like 2/3 of the topics. ("'That's not right'? Gosh, I am stumped.")
