Nice to see a Pentangle clip. I first heard them in 1969, when the show "Take Three Girls" featured a version of "Light Flight" (with different lyrics) as its theme song. My eldest sister fell in love with the group, and the first four albums ("The Pentangle," "Sweet Child," "Basket of Light," and "Cruel Sister") formed part of the soundtrack of my early teens. These, plus solo albums by Bert Jansch and John Renbourn, are still in my possession (she being sadly sans record player these days). I really should drag them all out and give them a relisten.
Oh, just so you know, some while ago in chat you commented that I must take a long shower if I can sing all of "Cruel Sister" during one. Shortly afterward, I did a test, and I'll have you know I made it through "Cruel Sister," "Ne Me Quitte Pas," and part of "Kevin Barry" before I turned off the taps.
Clearly, I am a water hog. Good thing I live in the water-rich Northeast, I guess.
As to what I'm listening to these days, mostly I'm just lazy and leave on WFMU. When I do bestir myself to dig out a record or CD, I usually, boringly choose The Specials, X-Tal, Nick Cave, early Billy Bragg, and the banana album. I am in a rut.
