I'm seriously considering going to this.

I'm probably going to James myself by staying at the James Hotel. I will be disappointed if my morning wakeup call is not some jackass saying, "You just got Jamesed!"

I love the stuff they're doing Friday night, where Sebadoh/Public Enemy/Mission of Burma are going to play entire records straight through. Did they do that in previous years?

GZA did Liquid Swords, and I think Slint did Spiderland. Not that I saw any of them.

im going to try and make it.  ive never been to chicago but enjoy things from/about chicago on a regular basis.  and ive wanted to go to pitchfork music fest for years.

its cheaper than coachella (which ive skipped for the last 3 years) by a mile.

who else thinks they might make a cameo appearance at pitchfork?

I think one of these bands should get on tour and just play a copy of their record through the PA and just sit there on stage and drink and count money.

Ugh, I blew it big time at the '06 one.  I pretty much went for Yo La Tengo and Os Mutantes.  I got there later in the day, saw Devandra Banhart playing, figured I could miss it as I was starving, so hit the Bell, figuring in some set-up time between shows.

Oh, I see, TWO STAGES.  While I'm munching on a Chalupa, I'm missing half the Tengo show.   :'(

The three-day passes sold old mere hours before I purchased my one-day and two-day passes. BOOOOOO.

It cost $15.00 extra.  :'(

Ahhh, that stinks, Laurie.  I'd LOVE to go to this one, but I'm moving from Chicago (10 days and counting down), and really just don't think I can get back.

That's really frustrating that all days are still available...yet you can't buy them as a package anymore.

But, the price of a CD isn't THAT bad extra (but I know, it's an extra you almost avoided).

(P.S. Know if Jarvis is doing Pulp stuff, or just Jarvis stuff?--I would DIE to hear Different Class performed--though I know that's not happening).

I've gone the last four years and although I always enjoy the music it seems that each year more and more creeps come out.  Still, it can't be beat for the price and you really don't get gouged anywhere like at Lollapalooza or the other huge fests. Water is only $1, there's a nice record/craft fair, and the two main stages stagger performances so you never have to miss a band.

Just for spits and googles (I spent much time--as with Beatles albums--switching the balance levels right and left)...

EDIT:  Yay, Post 50! (Ironic this one made me a Honky Lip)

Just wait till you're a rapist.  I mean, from what you've said, your lips are at least part honky.
