Did anyone go to the aftershow with Jay and King Khan? I bet that was amazing.
Yes, Benno and I went, and it was amazing. I have pictures, which I will probably post tomorrow. I was BLOWN AWAY.
Jarvis, OMG, JAAAAAARVIS. It was amazing. Electrifying. Orgasm-inducing. I actually cried. Jarvis and I had A MOMENT. He looked at me. We made eye contact for thirty fucking seconds. He pointed at me, and he sang, "Girls like it too," which is a line cribbed from John Peel's sex advice letter to his brother apparently. Oh, Jarvis, I do. I really, really do like it, but only with Jarvis, so don't get any ideas, fellas. And I wasn't imagining my moment, either! The girl I was talking with about the MAGIC OF JARVIS before his performance turned to me and whispered, "I'm so jealous!" Oh, Jarvis. (If only he had pointed at me when he sang "I wanna be your lover." You bet your buttons I sang along to that one.
Jarvis is my Elvis, Beatles, and Prince, but way better than all three. He's beautiful. A beautiful, pasty English sex-stick. When he said, "It's a bit hot, would you mind if I take off my jacket?" I screamed, along with about a hundred girls and a dozen guys. (Yes, there were other people who screamed, "I LOVE YOU, JARVIS," some of whom were boys or girls with lots of testosterone.) When he deftly shrugged off his jacket with his shoulders, I screamed again. And then I might have shouted, "Take off your shirt!" and there was laughter. (He didn't take off his shirt, but he did take off his tie later!) Oh, there was a moment where the guitarist was having a bit of tuning trouble, and Jarvis helped, and the girl next to me cooed, "Oooohhh, he's helping him!!" I swear to god, us girls go fucking nuts for Jarvis. We love him, it's true.
God, he's so beautiful. I had the best time that night. The next day was pretty amazing, too. I saw the same kid who stood next to me during the Titus Andronicus show the day before. (They had sort of opened with Pulp's "Common People," by the way, which was very funny!) That kid was wearing a Boris shirt. He let me take a picture of him. Cute kid! So weird that I stood next to the same kid on different days! Boris was amazing, by the way. They fucking blew out half the electricity, they rocked so fucking hard! I also met Richard's wife and his beautiful baby. I swear, he has the cutest baby ever. I booped Max's nose and got to hold him for a picture. Super chill baby! I love him. Thanks, Richard! Before I met up with Richard, I saw most Les Savy Fav's set. Whatshisface went into the crowd a bunch of times. This one guy next to me motioned him to come over. Beardo locked eyes on him and nodded maniacally, jumped the barricade, and made out with him and a couple of other guys. Then he went way out into the crowd and came back aloft in a GARBAGE CAN. Pretty cool! Before LSF was Apples in Stereo. Rainbows shot out of my asshole.
I can't wait to share my photos with you.
