I have a copy of Ask the Ages, too! I think that accounts for the only 3 extant copies. Is extant a word?
There ought to be a copy of Ask The Ages in every home. Sonny Sharrock was a genius. It's a shame his life was cut short. If you like Sonny Sharrock also check out some of these albums he appeared on:"Eternal Rhythm" by Don Cherry"Tauhid" by Pharoah Sanders"Super Nova" by Wayne Shorter"A Tribute to Jack Johnson" by Miles Davis (specifically the second track "Yesternow" where he's absolutely killer)"Black Woman" by Sonny and Linda Sharrock"Guitar" by Sonny SharrockThey're all great albums. Also, his work with Last Exit is good (depending on your tolerance for free jazz).
Whinefest. But i like it okay.
I defy anyone to watch the Leonard Cohen dvd, Live in London, and not become a fan. It may be the most charming performance ever.
