"Haze of Drink" by Slobberbone, a great tune by a band with a not-great name. Southern rock in the best possible sense:

Slobberbone - Haze of Drink

One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands at their most 'Mats meets Crazy Horseist.

Saw them here in LA just a couple months ago.  Great as always.  I like to just call them The 'Bone.

"Sleep's Holy Mountain". I haven't listened to this in a while. I had forgotten how generic its riffage is...

2) Kate Bush - 50 Words for Snow

I haven't listened to a Kate Bush album in a long time. Is this a good place to get reacquainted with her?

20) Okkervil River - I Am Very Far

I should check them out. The only stuff of theirs I've heard was the album in which they backed up Roky Erickson...

I love the Kate Bush album, but it is very very slow. I can't think of anything to compare it to other than Joni Mitchell's more atmospheric noodling in the late 70's, but then it's got next to no guitar on it.

Man, what a great show he puts on. Listened 'til I went to bed last night and we turned it on as soon as we got up. A national treasure.

The new Ume record. They remind me ever-so-slightly of Lush, but (a) heavier and (b) and not in a dated sense at all. They whup it up somethin' fierce live, highly recommended if you get the chance.

Yes!  Ume's Phantoms is a fantastic recording.  It's a shame this album didn't get more attention this year.  Did Pitchfork even review it?

I think Pitchfork (and plenty of others) ignored it altogether, which is a bummer. When I lived in Austin I was lucky to see them play a lot, and it was probably a little easy to take them for granted. Now that they have such a new great new record out it seems nuts people aren't more into it. I'm excited they're touring the mid/west this spring, though.

Your list is missing Kurt Vile, Dave. And the Black Keys should be much higher on this list.

I started this morning with The Beatles "Help!" mono CD. Nothing revelationary like "Revolver" mono, but the stereo mixes sound crazy.
I followed with "Video Games" by Lana Del Ray, which mad me made at everyone for not telling me about this song before yesterday when Patrick from Titus Andronicus covered it and Andy Shernoff was talking about the song this morning on FB.

A present from my wife and one of my favorite Jonathan Richman songs.

AKA My future back tattoo. I got a Japanese 1st pressing. If you ever find yourself in Providence go to Armageddon Shop. I think I parked behind a car that had the WFMU NJ Turnpike sticker on it the day I got it.
