Tom would run down an old lady for a great radio moment.

The Ty Cobb of radio.

How long can you settle into one thing and still have it be a moment?

I always knew Andy Milonakis was cribbing from Heraclitus. No wonder he's so successful.
Ever do nothing and gain nothing from it?
Ever feel stupid and then know that you really are?
Ever think you're smart and then find out you aren't?
Ever play the fool and then find out that you're worse?

With the exceptions of Fredericks and Samir, I'm glad I missed the first hour live last night.  Don't put your 7-year-old on the phone, it's not that cute.  However Susie (or Suzy) from Jersey City should call every show for the remainder of the run with her Dylanology.  "Highway 66"  :D

Whip your chains in the air
Whip em like you just don't care

Caller: "I'm in Chicago."
Tom: "You're in Chicago? Hey, that's great."
CLICK

The first hour of the show was like a spring cleaning of bad callers, and it was kind of glorious.

I called, I tried to bring it, I failed. But at least I know I'm not the worst caller ever, as I've never even set foot in Richmond. And now I've never have the regret of not trying. (Just the regret of failing...that's better, right?)

I am now hearing Tom sing that Peabo Bryson song, "I did my be-st // but I guess my best // wasn't good enough"...you get points for putting yourself out there, at least in my book. Takes courage to walk straight into the chopper like that

I'm generally Team Mike, but having Gary get the news that he is losing his media platform from his nemesis Mike made me oddly sympathetic to the lil' squirrel. I hope he's ok.

One interesting note about that is apparently it was in Soviet Russia (where spotlights light YOU) and he was mad they kept shining lights on the audience to identify especially heinous threats to the Soviet way. Why they let an example of Western Decadence like Joel play there is a mystery.

I thought it was Beej trying to "act punk".  The reds should've have locked him up, Stripes Style, for causing disturbance een concert hall.

This has probably been said, but that caller that Tom said he hoped die was totally the one that called by way of outer space. The guy from Woodstock.
