I liked your angle of attack, but maybe you went too far into the depths. I think it was still too much about you.

If you ever call again, have a good reason (on topic, something to add) and just approach it as if you've never called before. Focus on the subject of the call or on what Tom gives you and not yourself or trying to build an identity.
