This week's Bad Company-ing might have been my favourite one yet.

The soothing sounds of "Outlaw Pete."
I'd like an omelet, plain, and a chicken salad sandwich on wheat toast, no mayonnaise, no butter, no lettuce. And a cup of coffee.

So, so many highlights in the call, particularly in the back and forth about the "Uptown Vote", and maybe the the most horrifying call ending yet. My favorite part, though, was probably the brief time spent on RoadSplatter '74. Something about the Osmonds recording the thing with only the best of intentions and then being mad when they found out people were listening to it for different reasons just destroyed me. I hope we hear more about that in the future.

I was texting the highlights to a fellow listener:

- Romney, the Original Hipster
- Obama: Whateves
- The "Uptown Vote" where all the "cool MFs" are, the people who know "what it izz."
- The #4 celebrity endorsing Mitt Romney is Jack Blades of Night Ranger
- Out of nowhere, he says "What is Twitter?"
- Motley Crue: that's a movie, right?
- Mr. Romney's jeans.  He calls them Gene.  He's very proud of them.
- The kids say he wears mommy jeans, but Mr. Romney is a daddy.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

- Out of nowhere, he says "What is Twitter?"
Immediately followed by:
"It's like a social media site."
"What's that? (pause) Oh boy."
I'd like an omelet, plain, and a chicken salad sandwich on wheat toast, no mayonnaise, no butter, no lettuce. And a cup of coffee.

Chuck Woolery was the original host of 'WHEEL OF FORTUNE', when it premiered on NBC in 1974. The song was 'DEADMAN'S CURVE' (Jan & Dean, 1964).

The Bad Accompanied "Craig / Uncle Crizzle / Tavis Not So Smiley" is the former movie critic for the Raleigh News and Observer newspaper.  I liked some of his reviews, but you could tell even then that he, uh, really liked to talk.  A lot.

I know that guy, and I'm kinda surprised the call didn't go worse.

Spike,

Dean from Jan & Dean was 24 in 1964.

A phenomenon not limited to surf music; many of the Doo-wop singers you enjoy today were under 25 when they recorded their hits.

A very good point.  Frankie Lymon was 14 when he had his biggest hit, and washed up by 19.

I used to edit him before he went up to NC. He's a brilliant guy, but there were times I would have liked to BC him too. As I am sure he would have me as well...

As for the song...I think Mr Dublin was trying to come up with Bloodrock's "DOA."

Right!  I thought of it right away and forgot that they never got back around to it.

That is a really terrible song.
