Whoa, holy fudge! I haven't listened yet, but it sounds like we get Tom mentioning Jon and a call from the Best Show future? That's almost exactly what I wanted out of the 500th. (Well, in my dream world, Jon would call in as Jon, but a slightly more unhinged Jon, if that's possible).
If I tried, I could probably make at least six figures for shaking my moneymaker.

Heard most of it live last night, listening to the opening musical set right now ... the "This Will Be Our Year"/"Do It" fake-out was masterfully executed. And hearing "The World is in the Turlet" was a good reminder of how magical the show can be. Good Guys win!!

Buffcoat, I love that you have the exact lengths of those JW calls handy!

Also, it occurs to me that Gary the Squirrel's remix name should be Squirrel-X.

From the clueless terrible calls up front to the summer blockbuster of a JW call, this one was worthy of 500.

Question: Has Tom ever mentioned Jon by name during the show before?

I tried to make a clueless terrible call, but I just don't have it in me.

(it is totally in me)

Thanks, Liz!

Tales of the future: Sheila Larsen married Tom, but later left him for Dr. Phil McGraw. And Sheila eventually murdered Dr. Phil ...

Future FMU programming: "24 hours of animal flatulence".

Hearing the bed music from different times in the show made me really sentimental.  I liked that a lot.
Sounds like someone was working as a conduit for nature's natural vengeance.  Just like Jesus.  And some of the others.

"Nowadays, it all fades to green. That's one thing that's different."

"Jillian ended up marrying Robbie Robertson."

"Do I ever get the records?" "Nope."

"You also had big fights with Jackie Chan, Chan Marshall (Cat Power), Garry Marshall, the Marshall Amplifier Company..."

"FBI Director Harrups"

"Hide my spank mags!!"

Tom's heartfelt thanks to Mike, the listeners, and Jon.

The whole show was awesome and I second everything everyone else has said. Truly worthy of the praise.  I loved this little moment: Gary saying "comme ci comme ça." Stupid, but it had me laughing out loud in public.

How many other times has Jon mentioned Jon?

Tosh following Jay seems perfectly believable.

I always love it when Gary pulls little zingers out of his vocabulary, like when he was defending Midnight in Paris against Mike with "It was a bagatelle!"

The Jon Wurster call was amazing, I never wanted it to end.  All of the above including this line:
"It was like a generation that not only never rocked, but never had sex or had gone to the bathroom. I know that last thing I said was very weird but...I said it."

Oh yes, It was great to hear the infectious giggle of Laurie from Miami last week.

And too bad Petey, Officer Tom, and Purple Shirt have seem to have fallen from the edge of the Earth.  Glad MC Steinberg, The Family Wolliner, Sam Seder, Lisa Jane Persky, F from New Port Richey and Lawrence D. Pervison checked in.

Good guys win, bad guys die.

This seems like as good a time as any to mention that Officer Tom made an appearance at the top of yesterday's Seven Second Delay live show. I've been wondering all day how to dispense that information to the FOT board. Thanks for your help.

Finally listened to the episode. Everything was great.

The Best Show is more than just a comedy show to a lot of people (myself included). Thanks for everything, my man.
